OUR IMPACT
Girls have the resilience, capacity and self-confidence to solve problems, influence others positively and actively engage in and shape their communities. They can identify positive leadership qualities in themselves and others, and step into leadership positions with confidence and skill. These skills teach our girls about independence, resilience and adaptability. It shows the girls that they can rely on themselves.
HOW?
Ascend provides group activities designed to provide everyone with the opportunity and practical experience of leading. We conduct formal leadership training through internal and external classes provided by partner organizations, and public speaking events - including a speaker series featuring community leaders. We also encourage the practical application of leadership skills through planning and leading weekly hikes and annual expeditions.
