Today marks another day closer to the impending deadline that the US government has established for leaving Afghanistan. Time is simply running out to secure safe passage out of the country and the implications of this are disheartening.
While we are continuing to pursue every viable option to help our girls get to safety, we have been reminded of the sad reality that they do not want to leave Afghanistan. Rather, they want to escape the ravages of war and a future that would diminish everything they have fought for.
To that end, we are working hard to emerge from this crisis stronger than ever. We will continue to support our girls and help them shine their light in whatever reality they face in the future. We will build upon the foundation the girls have built with us over the past six years and help the future generations of women in Afghanistan build a better future. We will continue fighting.
