Ascend participants all learn and practice the power of volunteering. Participants work with instructors to design appropriate projects that align with community priorities. Ascend girls are receiving valuable training, and giving to others to amplify impact and model community leadership. Projects include teaching sports at an orphanage, teaching literacy to adult women, leading neighborhood cleanup campaigns, and working with municipal authorities to create public art encouraging environmental responsibilities.
